About Leigh

At the tender age of 16, I created my own label, Leigh Originals, by designing wedding veils for brides. Then, during my 20's, I expanded my operation by purchasing two bridal stores (Memphis Bridal Gallery and Jackson Bridal Gallery.) At 24 I was one of the youngest people ever to be featured in the preeminent designers’ magazine; Women’s Wear Daily, and In 1997, I earned the Small Business of the Year award (as presented by Ernst & Young for the city of Memphis.) again, I was the youngest ever to win this honor.

By 1999, I decided to sell both my bridal shops and join the family business, Cara Hills Estates. We specialized in event planning on our 20 acre estate and life was good. I was on fire and on the fast track to success.

Then in 2005 breast cancer stopped me in my tracks and I began the battle for my life. The silver lining, because there always is one, was that the struggle provided the opportunity to reflect, take inventory and make several life changes, including my career. I learned a lot about myself, despite the accolades and success in business, I wasn’t running my business, my business was running me!

When all is going swimmingly we give little thought to what we would do, if we couldn’t do what we did. I got used to a certain income, a particular schedule, I liked nice things, and I still had a burning ambition to succeed in all areas of my life, but what I didn’t have, was the desire for things to go back to the way they were. That just would not work for me anymore. What was the point of working my butt off, and having nice things if I couldn’t enjoy them? There wasn’t one. But I had obligations that HAD to be met, financial and otherwise. Out of necessity and rock solid faith, I made the decision to make a dramatic change of course, and, with a full tank of motivation, I proceeded to do just that!

I believe that my triumph over the insidious disease that indiscriminately strikes so many women, and my road back to health, was something I had to share. If I could empower women in their pursuit of financial freedom and personal growth, I would be taking back something Cancer wanted to rob me of.

It’s funny how life work,s because after chemo had ravaged my body, especially my skin, a client suggested I try a particular product, that conversation changed my life forever! I stumbled across an opportunity to start a new business on my own terms. With my priorities in order, I set out to leverage a well known brand and all the resources of a multi-million dollar company set to go global.

I have inspired thousands of women to empower themselves, to make the life changes required to create the life they desire. I teach women HOW they can ‘have it all' by making adjustments in their attitudes towards living a full life, I help give them the confidence to KNOW that when life delivers a blow, they have all the tools and skills needed to overcome any and all obstacles.

Today, I enjoy financial freedom and live better ~ live fuller ~ live stress-free. I’m able to spend quality time with the love of my life, my husband and my two daughters, and have found that glorious and essential ‘me time’ we all strive for Less Stress.

I look forward to welcoming you on this amazing journey and to help you gain that “EDGE” to start living the life you want to live!!

In 2009, I became an Independent Consultant with Rodan + Fields Dermatologists, which I found to be the ULTIMATE platform to inspire women to make changes in their lives. We are not only changing their skin, but changing the financial health of their families.
